AmaZulu completed the signing of Mhlengi Cele to add him to their roster for the 2017/18 season.
As reported by the Siya crew, Usuthu identified Cele as a transfer target for their return to the PSL, since the confirmation that the team has successfully found its way back to Mzansi’s topflight.
The Durban-based club has since confirmed on its official website that the NFD’s second highest top goal scorer of the past season has been signed to join Ayabulela Konqobe, among the new signings for the team.
“AmaZulu have completed the signing of its former centre back, Ayabulela Konqobe (21) and striker Mhlengi Cele (30). Both players made the switch to Usuthu on a three-year deal respectively.
“Konqobe has become the second returnee in the same transfer window after Togolese centre back, Sedate-Auro Akoriko recently rejoined the KZN outfit,” AmaZulu have stated.
AmaZulu general manager, Lunga Sokhela, confirmed that the two players now belong to the club.
“The players are officially signed with AmaZulu FC and we’re pleased to have them. They are quality players who bring much-needed quality in their respective positions,” Sokhela told Usuthu’s official website.
As reported by the Siya crew, Mamelodi Sundowns striker Bonginkosi Ntuli is another transfer targeting for the PSL returnees.
