Zuma’s convoy in crash on Durban’s M4

President Jacob Zuma’s convoy was allegedly involved in another blue light brigade crash on the M4 in Durban on Tuesday.

Citing reports‚ the Democratic Alliance on Wednesday said the “president’s protectors” had been hospitalised due to injuries.

“Meanwhile‚ the president proceeded to King Shaka International Airport‚” DA shadow deputy minister of police Marius Redelinghuys said in a statement.

Zuma was in KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday to open the new Toyota vehicle manufacturing plant.

Redelinghuys said this was the second blue light crash in KwaZulu-Natal this year. In March‚ former Premier Senzo Mchunu’s blue light vehicle was involved in a horror crash in which two people died. The third incident this year thus far involved Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa’s convoy in Blouberg in the Western Cape.
